Painter’s chinos inspired by well-worn pants used in painting work, reinterpreted through fashion.
Paint, which would normally be seen as stains, is treated here like art.
Layers of color are added while imagining the look of a pair that has been truly used over time.
The firmness of the fabric is softened through processing, and the color balance is adjusted again and again while rebuilding the tones.
Multiple layers of paint are applied, making this a highly ambitious piece.
The rise is set not too deep, and the silhouette falls cleanly from the waist, emphasizing a beautiful standing shape.
While it carries a rough, workwear-like character, the silhouette is refined, creating a balance not found in original workwear.
From planning to finishing, this piece required a great deal of time.
